Why this site exists
Every operator on this river sells its own dock. Search for a cruise and the first page is each company's site making the case for its departure point, plus booking platforms ranking whatever converts. Nobody puts the two $29 one-hour sailings side by side and mentions that one of them passes two castles and the other passes none, or that the only cruise which lands at Boldt Castle carries a passport rule with no exceptions, set by US Customs rather than the operator.
None of that is secret. It sits in the listings' own small print, the operators' FAQs and a year of passenger reviews. Putting it in one table next to the prices is the entire job of this site.
Where the facts come from
Cruise prices, durations, ratings, review counts and inclusions are read off each listing on GetYourGuide or Viator on the date shown on the page, in US dollars. Every tour page carries the same fields in the same order. Tour listing checked: August 2026.
Border and document rules are checked against the operators' own published guidance and official visitor information, and dated where they appear. Traveller feedback reviewed: more than 6,700 platform reviews across the five listings.
Where a listing admits something inconvenient in its own words, such as the 1-hour Gananoque loop not reaching Boldt Castle at all, we repeat it plainly rather than smooth it over. Review quotes carry the reviewer's name and country as published, including critical ones.
How the site earns
Booking links on this site are affiliate links to GetYourGuide and Viator. If you book through them, the platform pays this site a commission at no extra cost to you. The commission rate does not differ by tour, so there is no incentive to rank one sailing above another; the comparison table orders by what each route does, not by what it pays.
